Throw out bearing hub
I am using a AA bell housing with a new pressure plate from Brattons. Clutch throw out bearing that are new . The problem is the throw out bearing is tight against the clutch fingers . There is no movement at all. I am using A throwout bearing hub out of a standard model a. Have any of you removed metal off the backside of the hub to make it work .If so how much do I need to take off to be safe and it still operates correct. ( looks like to be an eight to one quarter tops) Or need to find aa through out bearing hub. That the case have any of you have a aa hub your willing to part with? Building this speedster has its monents. I thought building the body, coverting the brakes to hydraulic would be the Challenge . That's what I get for thinking. But when it's done it will be one of a kind . Miff

Re: Throw out bearing hub
The AA Throwout Bearing Hub is a lot shorter than a standard Model A one.
The return spring is also shorter on the AA. I don't think you can shorten the A hub enough.
