Default Re: gas filter

Where is the filter located?
Buy one of the siphon hoses and empty the tank into another vehicle.
If the line into the filter is rubber, clamp it with a pair of vise grips. Then remove the filter.
Remove the filter and quickly plug the line with a piece of hose plugged with a bolt. You will loose some gas but you can catch it with rags.
If the car is drivable drive it until tank is empty.
The OEM had a drain plug. You could empty the tank into three 5 gallon buckets. Don't store them inside.
