Installing radiator shell grommets
Is there a secret to installing the horn and light grommets in the radiator shell? Such a simple job shouldn't require help, but I can't seem to get them

Re: Installing radiator shell grommets
Try lubricating them with soapy water. They're tough little suckers.

Make sure that the soapy water is HOT. It will tend to soften them somewhat.

Re: Installing radiator shell grommets
IF you look closely at original pictures you will note the grommets are split. Splitting them makes a big difference when installing them.

Re: Installing radiator shell grommets
Spray a bit of WD40 on them first. Makes it much easier!

Re: Installing radiator shell grommets
^ I have not had an issue with installing without slit and no lube. Could also depend on how long they have been sitting around.
