Default Installing radiator shell grommets

Is there a secret to installing the horn and light grommets in the radiator shell? Such a simple job shouldn't require help, but I can't seem to get them
in.

Try lubricating them with soapy water. They're tough little suckers.

Make sure that the soapy water is HOT. It will tend to soften them somewhat.

IF you look closely at original pictures you will note the grommets are split. Splitting them makes a big difference when installing them.

Spray a bit of WD40 on them first. Makes it much easier!

^ I have not had an issue with installing without slit and no lube. Could also depend on how long they have been sitting around.
