Another 8BA ID question...
Hi there,
It's been a couple years since I last was on here. However I now have a garage and have begun disassembly on my 49. I have a couple questions on the engine. So it's a 49 Tudor Custom my grandpa bought in 50. The engine is blue, so its early. What I cannot find out is if these numbers mean anything. What does the F and the NO289 below it mean (it looks like its a screwed in plate?). Also does this number on the Intake mean anything? Thanks!

Again, the only numbers that can give any more information are those that may (or may not) be stamped on the intake manifold surface on the block. If they are there, there is information that will allow you to determine the assembly date of the engine.

Re: Another 8BA ID question...
If the heads do not have dedicated boss holes to mount an oil filter then the heads are most likely '49.
