WOW is that all, you did very well. I would bet you are glad you went to the auction now... build it and enjoy it for as long as you can.

WOW!!
One of my all time favorites.
If you ever want to trade for that Brookville roadster body, I'm in. You stole it!

2 cylinder JD's will always be my favorite. Learned basically all I know from working on them with my dad!

Good eye! Yep it has a 35 on the drivers side, that was pointed out a couple times. Luckily I have a 36 one to swap out!

Ha, I think I will be hanging on to this one for quite awhile. I don't think I'd be able to replace it...

Thanks again everyone for the kind words!

Hi Everyone. FordMike, very cool story and car! After admiring your car, I picked up the EFV-8 Club's '35/36 book. Says they built 14,068 model 68-760's, or Cabriolets, for 1936. Compare to 159,826 Fordor Touring Sedan's, 68-730's.

Your car has curved 1936 outside door handles. The books says in Jan. '36 there was a change from the straight handles.

It also looks like between the first shot (at the auction) and last shot (in your garage) the passenger side door handle has gone missing?
