Default 36 mystery part

any idea what this is. it came with my phaeton and i don't recognize it. based on the paint I'm assuming it's chassis related. don't see it in the v8 club book either.

thanks

matt

I have several 36 fords & lots of parts but I do not recognize the part you have pictured. Could be wrong but I don’t believe it’s 36 Ford.
Cheers

For a day now, I've been thinking. This doesn't look like any part on my '36 Phaeton (or my '35 Touring).

That elongated hole on the bottom left looks suspicious. My guess is that gizmo has been refurbed/blasted/painted or something to get that finish and it came off of another car in the dude who owned the '36's collection.
