Default 1949 Ford shocks

Any recommendations on shocks and where to get them for my 49 Shoebox custom 2-dr.? I have went to NAPA and 2 other well known parts stores and all of them said they couldn't get shocks for me.

Rock Auto. 1950 uses the same shock.
NAPA online has the shocks. You should be able to order online and pickup at your local NAPA store.

I got mine at Shoebox-Central. Great people to deal with!!... Jamco Suspension has them too, also good people to deal with. Jamco has mostly lowering kits and I think their stock components may be more expensive. Rock auto has them and they might be less expensive. I’ve bought from all the above and have been happy.....Mark

Figure out which ones you need. I got my rear ones at Amazon last year. I've gotten them at NAPA. It's not that they cannot get them, it's that they do not know how to look them up. That being said shoebox central are great people as mentioned above.

Pep Boys still carries the replacement shocks -- at least they did in 2015.
