Default 41 merc front spring

My friend has a 41 Mercury with a sagging front spring. He doesn't have the internet and needs more information.
11A-5310 is evidently the part number for a Ford - is it the same for a Merc?
He was considering having his spring "re-arched" by a local place that works on truck springs - have any of you done that or know if that is a long lasting fix? It sounds like they have no specs on how much arch it should have - (they didn't seem to understand that the spring goes across the frame instead of lengthwise).
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I had the front main leaf eyes reversed on my '41 Ford at a local spring shop. The old guy got out his book and every ford model for that year had a different spring rate

I have had springs made from scratch, re-arched and eyes reversed, all with good results. Unless you are attempting to match the original for a car that is judged, about any arch you are happy with will work. If you want it close, someone might be able to measure one for you and post it.
