Default 55 Customline Disc Swap?

Hi all, I may have a line on getting the front disc brakes off of a 69 Galaxie for my 55 Customline. It seems like it was a swap I read about but I can't find it now. Has anyone here done that particular swap? Thank you

Never heard of swapping front disc brakes off of 69 Galaxie. The usual swap is done with late '70's Ford Granada or Lincoln Versailles. Not sure what exact years, but others here know.

As far as I know, any Granada has parts that will bolt on the 55. The lower hole of the spindle needs to be reamed with a tapered ream, and the hubs need to be turned down for the center hole of stock wheels to fit. There was an article in Y Block Magazine about it, back copies may be still available.
Or, email me at [email protected]. I'll see if it is still in me computer.

The Granada conversion is on my to do list but this came available locally and I thought I had seen that it is an option. It could also be the article/post was regarding and LTD conversion. IIRC the V8 Granada parts are the same up to 1980.

If anyone needs them I have a set of custom made Granada rotors that were made with the small register so you don't have to cut down original rotors. They were made for a company that was going to do Granada brakes for the early Fords. Brand new in the box, never used $120 for the pair plus shipping.

Also have a number of 15" wheels of large center hole 15"x5 1/2", 15"x 6" , 15"x 6 1/2"
$25 each plus shipping. Dave
