Default ‘28-29 Phaeton

Hello all. I have a ‘27 model t phaeton or touring, looking for something a little bigger. I can’t find any locally to look at but wondering if a ‘28-29 would be noticeably bigger?

with the 28-29 you still get some of the T charm and looks, but yes, as deco said, more power, easier to drive and loads more fun. definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

Also, other than the station wagons and buses I believe the 28/29 phaetons have more interior space than any other production Model A.

I love my phaeton, it has room for two adults and two grandkids in the backseat.

The disadvantage is you have to watch the rainclouds!

really? I thought 30/31 was bigger and that 27/8/9 were the same?

I have not really compared the overall interior space of the phaeton to other cars, but if it has 'extra' space, it is all in the back seat and not the front. The rear has plenty of room to spare but the front is quite cozy. Once you are in the car it is not bad, but getting in and out of the tiny doors is the challenge. If I were to do it again, I would go for the '30-'31.

Can't comment on the 28/29 Phaeton but I've driven a 30 and it had less room up front and much tighter doors than my 30 Fordor. Seems typical for most A's that the real room is in the rear seat.
