Default Source for Cadmium plating?

I have an assortment of smaller items I need cad plated for my model A restoration. Can anyone recommend a plating shop? I don't mind shipping, as total weight is less than 5 lb.

Thanks
Tom

Cad has somewhat gone by the wayside, dangerous stuff. Caswell plating has a lookalike process that you can do yourself. I have used their black coating for fasteners with good results but have not used the cad. Most reports rate their products pretty high.

Many aircraft propeller overhaul shops can do CAD plating.
I use MEMPHIS PROPELLER. They do both yellow or white cad on small parts and hardware.

Eastwood has a process you can do at home that looks very much like white cad plating. It is a zinc and tin process. Its very simple and relatively cheep. I love it. Just don't pollish the final finish and you have a very close look alike that is tarnish resistant.

I used Cooperative Plating 271 N Snelling St Paul MN. You think chrome plating is expensive!

A lot of vintage motorcycles had cad plated parts and there are several places that do restorations that offer different types of plating. This is one located in SE WI http://www.fatdogvintagesalvage.com/...alvage_003.htm
