Two of the screws have come too loose just below the door jam. See picture attached. Is or was there a nut on the other end? It does not appear to be a wood screw. They are about 2 inches long.

On my '29 Special Coupe, the bolts you are showing appear to be 1/4x20x11/2 with lock washer/nut to hold the door-frame wood piece.
I believe these pieces are used to support door frames and other areas where needed, also wood was used to fasten interior fabric/panels.

How do you access to see if the nut fell down into the body panel?

I'm doing an interior "re-do", so I have no panels, seat covering or head-liner to contend with.! With the seat back removed (coupe), and access to the side panel upholstery, when that is removed the bolt thread will be visible, or the nut will be in-place. kb

How do I get the back cushion out to get to the side panel. Is it bolted in somewhere? I don't see anything on the bottom.

The seat back should lift up and away (forward) of the package tray, two
brackets fit into slots on the package front edge. this would give access to the side panel for removal to access the area you are looking for.

Front upper cushion is fastened with two screws on lower edge of cushion ... accessed from trunk/ rumble THEN lift seat to clear hooks as mentioned above.

Might have to remove "kick panel" that covers back of springs to find screws if panel is installed.

Good point Benson.. Each of our cars (over the years) have become as "individual" as we are ourselves.!
As Henry built it.. may not be exactly as it is today.!

Well I got the the two screws all tightened up. I found the nut/lock washer down in the side panel below the window. Here was my sequence:
1) remove bottom seat cushion.
2) remove six screws on L/R sides of seat track.
3) lift up front of package tray and pull forward to remove.
4) detach piece of material attached to top of seat cushion that was tacked under the
package tray.
5) at the same time, pull the top of the seat forward while unscrewing the seat adjuster all
the way out.
6) tilt the whole seat forward, and lift out the P/S door slowly. Ask someone to help with
this. Will so much easier. I had to do w/o a helper.
7) do not remove the upholstery panel. You can reach behind and hold the lock washer
and nut while tightening the screw.
8) reverse the process to put back together.
