Default Wiper Identification

I can't locate a OD-C1 wiper for my 1928 Leatherback so I would like to use another wiper moter I have. It is made by EA Lab but has a different shaft that the arm attaches to. I have looked at several web sites to identify what I have so I can locate an arm and blade but have had no luck. Can anyone identify this or know what arm it takes?

I beleive these were used in Jeeps. If I dig around I may have the arm for it. I rebuilt 3 of these in 2009 and have a workig motor left over, but the mounting tabs are broken off. Will look Tuesday for an arm. Rod

Contact John Holland. He restores electric wiper motors and may have some for sale. 330-483-3896. If you are not restoring your car for fine point, I have a restored OD-C3 that works fine. It will fit your car but is for 29 Fordor. PM me if you like. Dale Gosa.

Dave801,
I am in the process of restoring an original OD-C1B for my October 28 Leatherback. They are hard to find since these were only used a short time. If yours is like mine the shagft which drives the blade is not in the center of the unit. I purchased mine from Berts. It was an original untested unit. You might contact them to see if they have any more. There is also a supplier on the web "Model A Wipers" who sells rebuilt units outright. They are not cheap but I think they come complete and rebuilt. At this point I think I would have made out better if I had paid the price. If you need any photos let me know. Look at the Model A wipers site since they have sketches of the various versions. Good luck.
