Default An Amazing Forum

This morning I recieved a PM from someone reading this forum. It was a Mariine that I served in 'Nam with. I love this Ford Barn. He reminded me of something I had done (and forgotten) over forty years ago. When I arrived back in the States, I called his mother to tell her that he was alright. Now, thanks to the Ford Barn, we have connected again.

Thanks Ford Barn!

Great story Rock. Did you ask him if he likes skinny girls or fat ones?

No I didn't, but I intend to get his opinion on whitewalls vs blackwalls.

Why go part way? See if he has an opinion on:

a. Ethanol in gas;
b. Detergent vs. non-detergent oil;
c. 6v vs 12 v (and +ive vs –ive ground) electrical systems;
d. Alternators vs generators;
e. The existence (or not) of vapor lock and it’s many remedies;
f. The efficacy of modern “upgrades” (electronic ignition, adjustable lifters, etc., etc.);
g. 19- and 21-inch vs 16-inch tires (and the associated radial vs bias ply controversy);
h. Inserted vs poured-in-place bearings;
i. Grease in steering boxes; and
j. Float-a-motors.

That'll make for a long-reunion...

I don't think we'll live that long.

I went to high school with a good friend, then we went in the army together in 1966 and still hang out today and get together about once a week. Now that's a good friend. Stay in contact with your bud and thanks for your service Rock.
