Thanks Charlie, but I'm not sure I get it all though. Is this a model B, is it a BB? Does the vin let us know that it is a 32? It has a bolt in firewall.

If it is a big truck it is a model BB. You should talk to a few of the big truck guys and see what they are calling them (maybe they call them a Model BB with a 4 cylinder but I don't know). The big truck BB could have also come with a V8 but this was unusual. The pickups were model B. All '32's had a bolt in firewall. The engine was completed in March of 1932 so it is safe to say it is a '32. I think the '33-'34 firewalls were welded in but I hope someone will post to confirm this.

Some interesting information there, thanks. My pickup has a V8 chassis number, but has a 4-cylinder fitted, and I was curious about the bellhousing number of AAB5034848, but now know the answer!

Thanks for correcting me on the doors. I was thinking that because of the extra line on the back of 33 - 34 cabs the doors were different also. You guys were right and I was wwwrrrrr ,as Fonzey used to say. Here is a link to a VIN ID page on a site with lots of info on 32 trucks. http://www.fordgarage.com/pages/ABenginenumbers.htm
Finding good usable tires for a AA or BB is very difficult.

Hey guys, its been a long time, life gets in the way. The truck now has 6 brand new Denmans 6.50 20s. Had all the wheels and rings sandblasted and painted too. It looks real sweet. I also replaced all the wood on the bed. I now have two spare doors that I picked up that are both in need of help, but nothing a welder cant fix. I'll try and get some pics soon. Getting ready to try and register it.

Yes, its great here. Long story on the tires. I had gotten four, and then they went out of business. I was finally able to locate two more but white walls, so I ended up making them the rear outsides with the white wall turned in and I painted it black. No one will ever know... If I remember wherever I found them had some more but again, only white walls. And that was last year or the year before at least.
