Default Model A printed fabric. Wanted.

Looking for Model A printed fabric.

I attended as a spectator, a custom and classic motor car display at Rainbow Beach, Queensland and with exception most cars were 1950ís onwards. There was not a thing there to interest me except the girls. All dressed in sort of mid 50ís outfits with period matching hair-doos. Most were fat, were show offs and sported multi coloured tattoos which made them resemble road side bill boards. We had alot of fun with them at the pub that evening. Some of the blokes looked like they had just come from their workshop having just completed a grease and oil change. I will write about the show when I get some pictures to complement my story.
I have never been to an A Model meet were so many have dressed in period clothing and that brings me to the point and I am asking for your help please.
I wish to make a shirt and maybe one for Patsy with fabric of Model A prints. Plus a cravat and a neck tie. Not to be worn all at once. No Iím not a fashion icon but nor am I a bad taste dresser although Patsy might dispute that.
I canít find a supplier of this fabric and my question is, do you readers know one. If so please do share what seems to be an industry secret. With thanks, gary.

I don't know where you can buy the material but there are shirts in the Restorer magazine for sale. I would also like to buy some material though.

I know you are looking for fabric to make your own shirt but my wife bought me one like this.

She also had a tie made with variation of my avatar printed on it.

Also do a search for "custom printed fabric". There seams to be a number of companies that do this kind of work.

I thank you folk who have provided the names and addresses of suppliers.
I have ordered, from ebay, a bowler hat, sleeve cuffs, cravat, and I have the braces and a waist coat. I'll get a shirt or fabric make one plus a boaters hat for summer with a "Henty" jacket.
Patsy says I'm a show pony.

We need to see a picture of the "show pony" when it's all done!

Yes I will oblige David, however it won't be for some time. I'm waiting for clothing purchased on ebay to arrive and I hope to get badges of both Woofa and my ute, woofa.express made to sow to my waist coat and bowler hat. cheers, gary

Chinese Transactions.

It is my intention to appropriately outfit myself in period gear when I attend a future motor car meeting. A cravat, arm bands and waist jacket with Woofa’shead protruding from the pocket and a bowler hat. There are not many bowler hats on the local new or used markets, so because of this I purchased same off ebay out of China.
Now Chinese suppliers are a mixed lot. Some good, some not so good. Fraudulent is the word I’m really looking for. Well my bowler hat arrived in a small envelope, sealed well with stickers of supplier and courier. When I opened it I found it contained two small sealed plastic packages. Each contained crystals abit like that coffee sugar that was once trendy, except these crystals were clear/opaque.
The policeman said they were most certainly ice and took them for analysis, not that he can charge a Chinaman living in China.
Of course my lovely and aged neighbour was curious as to why the police car was at my gate so I was courteous and told her. Now that had her stumped because she just could not envisage ice being sent in the post. She reckoned it would melt long before it could be delivered.
Only a few months ago I ordered a simple hand drill on ebay, again from China to be delivered. But instead China had sent a soap rack for a shower. I advised them of their error and they offered a 15% refund. I declined and asked for the drill. They responded yet again and offered a 50% refund. Another two communications occurred and they were still not offering to send my order. I concluded by telling them they were not honourable to deal with and they responded with one only word “okay”.
