‘42-‘46 pickup cabs & nose question!
Pictorially the ‘42-‘46 1/2 ton PU truck cabs & fenders look similar to the 1 ton, but I’m guessing theyre different between the 1/2 ton PU & the 1 ton trucks & not interchangeable?

The big truck front fenders have a bigger opening to accommodate the larger diameter tires.

they are deceivingly wider, especially at the rear/running board area

Not for the fenders, but the cabs are pretty much the same. I am not 100% sure so I was waiting for someone else to reply, but I think the cabs are all similar.

I believe "Mart" is correct. There may also be different placement of the gas tank as well.

if the 1 ton nose is in good shape , get them they are also hard to find and would also make some good trade pieces. I personally would use them. I have a 41 3/4 stake bed and it has the same "big" truck front end and looks good.

That does look good Allen! Is the cab the same as the 1/2 ton pickup? I’ve got the ‘42 - ‘46 1/2 ton cab, frame, bed & rear fenders, which is what I want the front end 4?

On the 42-46 trucks the hood and grille on the large truck are the same as pickup but the fenders have a larger opening even though they will bolt on the 1/2 ton.
