I'm a Movie Star!
OK The Model A is a star and I'm just part of the supporting cast.
I took the A to a NH Seacoast Cars and coffee gathering The A was the oldest car there and I was interviewed. See if this works - other wise just try seacoast cars and coffee https://www.facebook.com/seacoastcar...2706557473944/ When it asks you to either log in or join just click on Not Now. |

nhusa,
That's great; however, you're an "Internet Star" which is better now-a-days. If enough Barners click on it, you might go viral! It's great to see your car and see you describe the history. David Serrano |

Re: I'm a Movie Star!
Very interesting.
It is always good to see an original Model A that is just being taken care of and enjoyed. Thanks, Chris W. |

I bought a GM Holden with 23K on the clock was in great order except each of the 4 mudguards had bad scrapes . It was said father bought if for son to drive and son went through too many fences. It probably didn't obey the Wooh wooh being yelled at it. It was also said son was aged 63. I took it to the local panel beater for repair and he talked me into painting the whole car. I now deeply regret it as it took the originality away.

Your link takes me to an AOL site and it won't play. Do you have a direct link to you tube?

Re: I'm a Movie Star!
I once had a '65 Mustang, and in the 1990's people used to wave at me and give me thumbs up like I was a movie star. I always used to comment about that. Now I have a Model A, and the movie star waves are back. ....Only now 10-fold!

Re: I'm a Movie Star!
Over here, MOST people seem to not even see my. Asians never do. The only group I almost expect to respond is motor cyclists or other collector car drivers regardless of what they are driving.

Fred, Great to see the A out. We are taking our 1930 4-Door Briggs to the NE Meet in Lake George this weekend. Just came back with it from a 1010 mile trip to Nova Scotia. Keith Costello Fellow Ceramic Engineer.

Many are quite dumb. I always flash my headlights to warn of cops. I think it is a national obligation, however most simply miss seeing the warning. Could be they are texting at the time.

Re: I'm a Movie Star!
Synchro, we often see very young kids pointing our cars out to their parents, who have not noticed them. I think story books may have old cars in them or maybe it is kids car cartoons on TV that cause the recognition.
Many Japanese tourists here go mad over the cars and wantto take selfies with them. They are surprised when I suggest sitting in them for a photo. The Chinese tourists do not seem to do this though as far as I can recall. SAJ in NZ |
