Default Thread size for Model B jets

Hi folks,

My reading and measurements indicate that the threads on Model B carb. jets (e.g. main, cap, other) are 10-34, yes, ten dash thirty four, not the standard 10-32. No amount of Googling has yet enabled me to find a source for such a thread (save for one, which is actually a typo).

Has anyone heard of a source for a 10-34 tap, or otherwise come up with a solution for creating such a thread?

-Andrew

Gary is correct. 10-34 is close to 5mmX .75. I think that's why the incorrect size of 10-34 was used. 5mm x .75 is available. Try MSC or McMaster.

Hi folks,

Yes, that actually makes sense (much more than a 10-34 tap does), given that Zenith used metric units for dimensions of other parts. Don't know why I didn't think of that.

Cheers, Andrew
