Default 1950 Flathead 6 Radiator

Anyone running a 226 Flathead-6 in a 50 Ford car and finding the radiator to be dangerously close to the fan blades?
Thanks, Steve

3/8" or even a little less is common. My stock flathead V8 was .410" away from the fan blades. But with my aftermarket radiator it is now about 5/16 (.312").
The closer the better (on a car). Cars are more rigid than old pickups. I wouldn't want mine any closer than that if it was a truck.

That's where mine is, about to put it on the road. How does your car move/drive with the 6?

The fans are further away from the radiator in the trucks, as noted. In addition, the trucks have a shroud essential to avoiding overheating issues.
