Engine paint colors
Looking for a fairly light green or aquamarine color for the engine. I have an 8RT engine that is about that is right shade of green, could be a rebuild color. Seems to me that some of the early 50's Mercurys had a similar engine color. Any ideas ? Thank you Fordbarners.

Re: Engine paint colors
I used Dupli Color - The first picture is the original paint on half of the thermostat housing and the dupli color on the other half.

My 52 f1 with 8RT is painted with Hirsh engine enamel 5670+5003 Lincoln Mercury light green. Hits home makes excellent engine paint. Hope this helps, Tom |

Re: Engine paint colors
Bill Hirsch makes the best engine paint.
Lasts forever, easy to apply, looks great, gas and heat resistant, can be sprayed or brushed, flows out nice and smooth. Last edited by 19Fordy; 07-02-2019 at 10:38 AM. |
