Would any one know what oil an how much goes in fan hub thanks

On a general opinion, not knowing your car yr or gen.


A couple drops when you do a oil change is standard procedure. Whatever you do an oil change with is fine.

I have a 35pu with a 59 at motor thanks for the help I took the fan hub apart to clean an paint no oil in hub how much when dry thanks

Just oil the hard bearings when installing, or add some oil to the cup. It doesn't take a lot.


You could put some lithium grease on it when installing.

I run old style bearings and redid mine. Probably 60 yrs since the last time it was changed.

Ford originally recommended regular motor oil, but changed that later to 85-90 weight gear oil. The same gear oil used in your transmission.
