You can edit, but delete, no. It's been this way for a number of months per Ryans wishes.

It was a sample process until a couple of months ago. It was changed so individuals who got into a heated debate couldn't go back and delete things later. I liked it better when you could delete a major screw up, but guess deleting the wording works, but?

With this screw up, I got half way through a sentence and somehow posted before I was long finished my thought. Then It wasn't until after starting over new that I realized that I should have just selected "edit" and finish my question. It was a double "duh" moment.
