Default 82a ccpu roof installation

I'm restoring a 29 82a, I had Marco's installation instructions saved in my favorites list, now it is not accessible, can anyone help with a new link?

thanks

Yeah. Marco seems to have "sidelined" his Barnyard temp file where all this was found. http://abarnyard.com/temp/82-a/

I'm not seeing anything (Ford 82a Roof Replacement) via google search where anyone else had put out a site copy.

IIRC, there are more than 30 pix. I have the pix but sending them to you by Email (two at a time) might take a while.

You can contact Marco at this site, or possibly at the Barnyard?

It was gone once before and then it came back but it's been gone for a couple months now, a lot of good info in that file.

Interesting...

Try this: www.abarnyard.com

I just brought it up.

If that does not work...then go to the STICKY above and there you will find the site...click on it and it comes up.

Steve, it's not Marco's abarnyard we are trying to get it's another link he had,
http://abarnyard.com/temp/82-a/, with pictures of a very original 82A and roof install.

OK...I remember seeing that entire process but for the life of me I can not find it either.

Maybe Dan Partain has it as he is perty much up on that Closed Cab subject.

As far as I can tell, Marco has taken down the photos. Years ago he said they were only there temporarily, but still made them available for a very long time, maybe 8 years? As mentioned by Joe I have also downloaded them, 30+ photos. Those are the best, and only resource I know to refer to for an accurate top replacement.

Dan, is there a way to access your file of the pictures that you saved?

I'm sorry no, they're all on my computer. Send me an email so I have your email address, maybe I can send the ones showing the top install.

Default 82-A CC Roof Installation

FYI - The link below has most (maybe all) of the Marco Tahtaras 82-A Closed Cab photos which I downloaded some years ago. There are 59 images on three pages.

These images can be downloaded if wanted.

The Wayback Machine also has a capture of it, no instructions, but has the index of pictures.

Its time to order roof top parts, the photos above and the one far right shows some kind of welt that I think is the first thing to nail on, what is it called, does anyone have a part number and supplier. Marcos site shows the same part. thanks

It is referred to as "Hidem" welting because once you secure all the tack nails, you close up both sides and "Hidem" so you can not see the nail head.

Not sure of a part number.

Actually, the first item installed is similar to fender welt and is important for a good look. I don't think vendors know/sell this in their kits. I think it is smaller than fender welt. Maybe more like the cowl welt. I don't have the specifications.

Hidem is the last item to be installed as I recall.
