NAPA is the first place I'd try.

Napa shows one in their e-catalog that is round and approx 34" long. Waldron's makes exhaust but I have no idea how accurate there products are.

take your measurements to Tractor Supply Store and go thru the hanging catalog--found one for my 1 1/2 ton truck that looks just like the original I took off, except for the ford scrip

I think the ford cars had a more normal length. My old Mercury cars were long damn things like 45" or so.

I looked in an old NAPA exhaust catalog and it shows 21020 but that number no
longer appears to be any good. NAPA shows the muffler is oval 3.25"x7.75",
31" over all with the body 26", Side inlet and center outlet. Inlet 2", outlet 1.75".
Ford part number 8A-5230-B.

Try to contact dennis-carpenter also. They have a good selection of restoration parts.

I know this is about a '49 muffler, but I was unable to find an "original size" for my '47, so I had my local muffler shop make one of their standards fit. I tried Mac's etc. before going this route.
