Default Recommended weight oil for 1926 Model T

I just recently acquired a running 1926 Model-T. It appears the engine has not been into, rebuilt or anything like that. Just wondering what might be the best weight of motor oil to use when i change it. I was considering Havoline 30 HD... Comments or thoughts?

Times two. straight weight behaves the best, in this situation.

X's 3 a neighbor happened to have two cases of ND30 he gave me, have enough for oil chages until I retire

If you do not have it already make sure you have a transmission oil screen and also install the outside oil line that is fed off the magneto post.

You should be fine. When I got my all original 27 Coupe last fall I am pretty sure somebody put transformer oil in it, at least that is what it smelled like. Car still runs!

I tried Mobil 1 in my Avatar. Worked fine but my wife protested because when reacting to the band temperatures, the cab smells of onion.

I use Mobil 1 from https://casperoilchange.com/syntheti...stroke-diesel/ both for old Ford cars and for my truck, it is great for powerful engines, it has good viscosity and low consumption, it also protects against overheating

10-30 or 10-40 depending on the time of year and change often.
