I also have the Kari-Keen trunk on my Fordor. It is a nice trunk but I have never used it in the open configuration for carrying lots of stuff. I did sew up a cover that I could use if I ever do want to carry lots of stuff, like suit cases. I keep my tools and spare parts in it. The only disadvantage is that, with the spare tire mounted on the lid, it is a little heavy to shut. There are locks at both sides to keep the lid from shutting or bouncing up when open.
