Default Frame the same?

Are the 1941 frames the same as ‘42-‘48? If not but are close, can you describe where the differences are? Thanks, Dave

The frames are basically the same. There is a difference in the center crossmember. One is welded in and the other is riveted in. I'm assuming you are talking about passenger cars. Pickups are another story.

Doesn’t 41-48 use the same basic body shell(in cars)?

Same body shells basically but '41 front suspension is more like a '40 (37-40). believe that the front of the '41 frame is more narrow than '42-'48

The V-8 club's 41-48 Ford book indicates the 41-48 frames have the same dimensions.. The 41 uses a narrower front axle to compensate for the fact the front fenders are narrower and pinch inward at the front.

'42-'48 are beveled at bottom edge over front wishbones, for more clearance, '41 is not.
