Default 1931 roadster bottom door seal install challenge

Has anyone got a secret way to get the rubber seal in the channel? I have tried lubricants.I have tried pulling it through, tried prying channel open more and it will not go . Lip on rubber seems bigger than it should be,may have to leave out and forget about it.

I would cut or sand a taper on the starting end of the rubber seal lip . Once the tapered end enters the channel , with the use of a good lubricant you should de able to pull the seal through the channel for proper fit . I have had excellent luck using original GO-JO hand cleaner as a rubber lubricant .
