Man, love it. The rear does look decidedly British, but it looks good nonetheless.

Note that the front axle is not the familiar "heavy" type. More visible on the Sothebys site. There,s a handfull of these one-off 1932 Fords floating around Europe in various private collections. Some British, some German ( Kellner ) BTW if i could get that money for my British '32 i would stop work tomorrow. I,m almost at the pension age now so i guess i,ll just plod along for a few more years.

Nor is the exhaust system anything like the original. I guess it's the low ground clearance version with the short tail pipe to asphyxiate the passengers when at idle.

Here are pictures of the 1932 Ford with the body by Carlton, as referred to in the Hemmings article. Notice that low exhaust as David pointed out. |

For $175 to 250K I'd be happier with three US built 32 Fords!

Gentlemen,how long did the "post generator" last ? I have a manifold, and, yes it does have the broken clamp syndrome.

The one pictured with no wheels must sit there all the time.. Note the running board turning green along with the driveway. Shame.

Re: 1932 Ford Model 18 drophead coupe by Carlton
Ford cars in this style shows up from time to time in Europe, i`ve been offered two different similar versions, 1935 and 1936, british and german, but to me they look like a nerdy combination of american and british cars, i prefer them seperate.
But very nice craftmanship both by initial builders and current caretaker. |

@OHV Deluxe
If you have pictures of the above mentioned cars, I sure would like to get copies of them and where they are? Thanks. |
