Default 1935 and 1939 Transmission Questions

I have a 1935 transmission and want to drop 1939 gears and synchros into it. Will this work? What kind of cost would I be looking at to do this?

Here are the photos of the transmission.

Yes, it will work. I've done several. Cost for me was buying a '46-'48 side shift transmission with good gears and swapping those gears into my 35-36 top load case. Then changing shifter top from a '35 to '39 with correct forks for later gears. Total cost will vary depending on cost of a donor transmission, '39 shifter top, cost of any parts that may need replacing, a gasket set, and whether you do the work yourself or have to pay someone to do the work for you. Lots of variables.

I could not open any of those attached picture files.

John, one more thing, if I'm not mistaken: The tranny cover needs to be massaged to accommodate the double detent shifter top.

Yes, the opening for the shifter tower in the 35 sheetmetal cover must be cut larger for the 39 style tower, or a 36 sheetmetal cover would work. Thanks for that reminder.

Thank you for changing the pics. Looks like this will work for my potential buyer.
