Default Light switch body repair/repro?

All,

I'm having electrical problems which (at the moment) seem to be related to a failing light switch... the brake light, headlights, cowl lights, and horn all fail to work, but the interior light, ignition, and ammeter all have power. I'm going home to try and get at the root cause this afternoon, but I suspect that this is the point of failure.

Assuming that turns out to be the case, how hard is it to take one of these apart and fix it and what's the most common source of failure?

The driving lights and horn power are picked up at the cutout output terminal, so start there and follow the voltage to see where it ends.
