1936 firewall insulation

I’m restoring a 1936 cabriolet and when I took off the interior firewall cover I notice an insulation similar to a pressed board cardboard type material.
The person before me installed a hot water heater through the firewall and destroyed the insulation. I’m looking for the lower square piece of insulation that belongs there. Anyone who has that piece please let me know, thanks.
