Default *%#@Emergency brake cable CLIP

Found on the SEARCH section that i have to cut the spring. O.K.

But now i don't know how this clip is installed at the end of the tube, or at the spring. I have the clips on order, because i either lost them or i didn't get them when i ordered the cable.
The car never had an emergency brake cable when i got it, so i don't know how it looks like .
Anyone have a picture?? Its for a 1940 ford tudor.

Thanks

Those clips go right where you have that arrow drawn. the purpose of them is to keep the spring from going up the tube.
Drakes catalog has them and shows how they work.

The arrow points at the clip and shows how it acts as a spring stop.

Note; this is an F-2 conversion; but the E-brake cable is set-up the same as a early Ford Lockheed.
