Ignition Switch Nuts...
Does anybody know what thread the three small terminals on the back of the ignition switch body are?
Mine are missing the nuts and I can't find replacements. Thanks. |

Re: Ignition Switch Nuts...
I just checked my 1940 1/2 Ton switch and the nuts are indeed 8-32's. Dennis/Arkansas

Re: Ignition Switch Nuts...
I agree with 4DFord. I'd start with Roy or find a junker on eBay that still has the nuts. Perhaps a want ad in the Swap Section here on the Barn. There are, I would think, some members that may have a few extras. Dennis/Arkansas

Re: Ignition Switch Nuts...
I was searching for some other type nuts the other day and I don't remember if it was McMaster Carr or some other site but I did see that someone makes them in all sizes. If I see it again I'll post it. G.M.

I can tell you from experience... Be gentle when tightening those suckers down.

Re: Ignition Switch Nuts...
A member wanted to know how the terminals were wired. I couldn't send a picture to him by private message so I'm posting it here. From the back, top left is "COIL", top right, "GAGES" (spelling on switch) and single bottom terminal is "BATTERY". Please click on image for clearer view. Dennis/Arkansas
