Default Luggage Rack Brackets

I fitted a folding chrome/wood luggage rack using the straight extensions, I have a rear mount spare. I recently noticed a coupe like mine with the same type of rack but it appeared to be higher. When mine is lowered it is in line with the bumpers. My question is, are there different brackets available, or, were those I saw home made ? answers on a $100 bill to ...............:D

I`ve identified which brackets I need, across three different vendors the price varies from about $40 to $90, is that a reflection on the quality, surely they must all be the same thickness, or the accuracy of fit, or ?
It`s not an option to take a chance on quality and return it, I`m in UK

NO they are not the same thickness. Varcoinc for the 29 is much thicker then the general vendors supply. Take a look carefully.

Thanks, I did suspect there would be a difference, I`ll check before I make a purchase.
