Default Harvey effect (lack of) to Howells Sheetmetal and Car-Line in Beaumont

I just spoke on the phone with Paul from Car-Line. Short story is that both they and Ryan/Howells were both (relatively) high and dry and things are OK.

Paul is helping with relief efforts and will be donating this months profits to a local charity "that he knows is making a difference in his local (Beaumont) area. They have intermittent water which has to be boiled before drinking and major damage all around them.

Good news.

I read in the newspaper that maybe 500,000 cars were impacted. We know quite a few will be collector cars, but the effects to people's lives are more important. A long, difficult road ahead for those affected.

After being screwed by Howell's I would love to see them underwater.

Chris, there's no reason to be bashful. Just tell us how you really feel

At least any pre-computer collector car can be repaired after being inundated. Get the computer wet on a modern car and it's a write off.

My Daughter lives a few miles from Howells, I've been by there several times but never stopped in. She had to be rescued by air boat and their house suffered heavy water damage.
My Son-in-law is the game warden down there. (so some of you down there may know him)
The local police and other game wardens have helped them start repairs and it is amazing how fast things are going.
One thing about LEO's, they stick together and are a tight knit community.
Dad, Uncles, cousins all LEO's, I could never do that type of work...I don't have the temperament, I'm kinda short fused if you know what I mean...but thank God some men do.
So thank you Beaumont, Port Arthur and Orange police officers, and Texas game wardens, a special thanks to you, for all you've done for my Daughter and Son-in-law.
I salute you all
