Default Engine Tag Codes - '65-'67 Mercury 410

I'm trying to find the 3-number engine identification code that's stamped on metal engine ID tags for the M-code 410 cu.in.-4v Mercury FE-series engine (not to be confused with the MEL-series 410 from '58-'60). Typically this code is on the bottom line of the metal tag that's bolted to the engine near the front of the intake manifold by the distributor. I have codes for 390s, 427s and 428s, but not the 410 .

Merci' Kultulz. I'm assuming the "M" is for manual transmission and that the letter/VIN code for both the US-only 2v/manual and the Canadian-only 4v are both "M" like the others.

Will have a separate message related to '65-'66 Mercury 390 codes shortly.

No, the M in this instance will be the ENGINE CODE CHARACTER in the VIN.

The THREE DIGIT ID CODE only references the engine to the MPC for component service parts. TRANS/REAR ID will be found on the PATENT PLATE

For further ENGINE BUILD INFO, you would start with the appropriate model year SHOP MANUAL

No BRITE ROCKER COVERS-TRIM came through unless Special Order.
