Default Road Trip games

Does any one have any "Road Trip Games" to keep group awake on a long trip?
Early Ford V8 Quiz?
Any other thing you can think of?

We used to play a game with our children/grand children, called Cow Poker. the folks on the right side of the car watch for cows on their tight, those on the left watched for cows on their side. If you pass a graveyard on your side of the car you had to "bury" your cows and start over. That game is now passé with cell phones, texting, video games etc. We still play it once in a while.

We always did the alphabet game......the first person that saw the letter "a" on a road sign, billboard, street names etc claims it and starts looking for a "b". the other people have to find their own letter "a"....only one person can claim a specific sign letter, unless the sign has the letter twice, then someone can take the second letter. The winner is the first one find all the letters in alphabetical order including "z". It is somewhat interesting that 'Q' is not that hard to find. I takes a lot of time and everybody is engaged with looking and not complaining how long the trip is and asking "Are we there yet?"................. Matt in Alameda

We used to ( and I still do ) keep track of out of state plates. Which states and how many of each.

You can play pa-diddle if it's dark. (Cars and trucks with one light out). If you google it, it's gotten a bit twisted but the basic game involves watching for cars that have lights out.

I always liked the "Slug Bug" game to hit the person next to you when you see a VW Bug.

These days I'd settle for a Subaru.

When we were kids, we would play ( guess the kind of car we were meeting ).
We would have to guess the Make and Year, and see who could guess that first.
You could tell the front of a '51 Ford from a '54 Chevy from a 1/4 mile away.

Today that game would be tough, as you can barely tell a Ford from a Malibu,
or most any other car, unless you're close enough to read it on the emblem

Back in the day, it was a pretty fun Road Game, and kept us kids too busy to ask,
Are We There Yet ???

My favorite game was, "Aunt Minnie From Minniapolis". The bad thing was you could only play it once.
The person who knows the secret, starts it out.
They would say, "Aunt Minnie loves grass, then you would say, "Aunt Minnie loves the moon, she loves glass, she loves room, lots of room", ect .........
The secret is, WORDS WITH DOUBLE LETTERS, together.
As one catches on, they join in with what Aunt Minnie loves.
As the game goes on, you will be left with the last one to catch on, wondering what it is all about and wondering why everybody else learned the secret and they can't.
