Default 1930 Tudor Seat Cushions

The seat cushion originally had a wire screen/mesh installed to distribute the force of the seat springs. My seats do not have this and what would one use for a replacement? Fireplace curtain? Make chain mail like the knights in armor? The upholstery kit came with a canvas and the cotton padding but that will not be enough to distribute the force of the new springs from Synder's. Need advice as I am "grid locked!"

Double layer of burlap and hog ringed to the top of the springs is what I did

My friend the trimmer has been using carpet for 40+ years. Not just any carpet,he has very fussy specs as to what he can use.He knows what he wants from the scrap at the carpet store.Has to be a certain thickness,a certain ability to flex,a certain backer that looks like burlap. The pile has to be just so,and has to remain stable in all temps.Nothing that stiffens up in the cold.He did some seats in my A in 1980,except for the wear they are like the day he did them. One has a couple of broken coils, but that has nothing to do with his work.
