I looking for a fan for my 36 pickup. I need to know for sure the Hub length,and length of blades from tip to tip. I am sure it has a four hole bolt pattern. Any information will help. I am trying rebuild a 36 pickup that was disassembled and stored in a building for about 30 years. I am sure I will a lot of questions.

4" hub and 4 15" blades.

Here is a drawing that should give you all the info that you need. Please note that the blades are 17" across, not 15" (Lawson, not everything gets smaller with age) LOL

There were text messages being sent in the 1800's over telegraph lines using Morris (otherwise known as Morse thanks to DD's spelling correction) code. Ain't nothing really that new when you think about it

The Model "A" guys discuss a lot of issues with using the 4 blade era replacement fans and that they crack at the hub...... I have posted this question on the "V8" forum before but didn't get too many replies......what issues have you gents had with original V8 fans cracking and breaking all apart in your engine compartments ??

NO, NONE...if talking about just the original fan & hub assembly that's riveted together. I have not personally had a single one fail in any of my cars in over 50 years of owning Early Ford V-8's, and never saw one that had failed in anyone else's EFV-8. HOWEVER, I have heard of and actually seen fan mount generator PULLEYS, that had their ID bored incorrectly (oversized) to mount on later V-8 generators, w/larger diameter shafts, that did fail, allowing the pulley and fan assembly to break loose from the generator shaft, destroying the pully, the fan assembly, the radiator, and anything else that happened to be in its path of destruction.

I believe I have two of those '36 PU fans that look very similar, if not identical, to the one pictured in Don Rogers post. See the four blade versions on the right side in these pictures. Send me a pm if you have any interest in getting one of these.

ps...I had no response from Don in WA on these four blade fans that I posted pictures of. One of those two with four blades is exactly like the one in the pictured drawing that Don Rogers posted. Another Fordbarner has contacted me about needing a '36 fan for his pu truck, so it looks like he will get this one that I have.
Maybe it will turn out that GB has one that will work for Don.

I have a couple different versions of these fans. I will be in Seattle on Tuesday if you live near there and could bring them down as I will have some free time waiting for my son to get out of work. Did the '36 come from Gene Sheppard? I remember he had a very nice basket case for sale about 15 years ago. PM me if interested in a fan.
