I have a 12 foot farm trailer, to high to use for an auto, been thinking of trading for a lower flat bed that I can use as a car hauler, and still use it around the ranch when needed.

Be great to have...just in case

Old cars and a AAA membership are like peas and carrots. They just go together! My AAA membership has bailed us out more times than I can count between breakdowns and cars I just bought that weren't capable of the trip home. I've even used it to tow a car to work (where we have a paint booth) for paint, then home once I was done.

You get discounts for all kinds of stuff with a AAA card. Add it all up and we'll worth it to me!

As Bob points out there are other benefits also. You can get discounts on dining and hotels by showing your membership card.

We even got a discount when we bought our 2015 Ford FLEX, enough of a discount to more than pay for our membership for the year.

We purchased AAA when we bought our Model A.
Used it 1 time when ran out of gas.
But to me its worth the cost just to do our DMV paperwork!
Not having to DMV trips.......when! Yippppeeee!

AAA is the way!!! Over the years they have gotten me into a car I locked the keys in,
towed my home when I threw a rod, brought me gas a few time when gas gauges didn't
work and neither did my brain.
The DMV service is WELL worth it. Where we are in California The regular DMV takes
hours to go thru the line. AAA the most it has taken is 10 mins.
The other great one not to many people know about is the dsicount you get at NAPA stores when you show your card.

I have AAA 100 mile and have used it a couple of times so the last time I had a problem it was right behind a tow machine. He came back and asked me what I wanted to do and I TOLD HIM "GET HOME." ABOUT 10 MILES. How much? He told me he'd ask the boss. I said "How much if we don't bother the boss?" Peeled of forty dollars and was home in minutes. Not what I'd want to hear if I owned the company, but it happens all the time.

have AAA, their plus 100 mile plan, my son and DIL are also on the plan. Worth every penny have used it a couple times over the last 15 yrs. I also have Hagerty towing for the three antiques, it was only a few bucks more. I have a car trailer and tow vehicle also, but when I am stuck I want someone to come get me quick. With AAA I have never had to wait more than 30 minutes.

I'll ditto the AAA membership. Also have them insure my '31 Deluxe Coupe. It's a daily driver, not a trailer queen. I have RV and Motorcycle. I used it three times on the A in the last two months. Hopefully, we got her running right, now.

Lasyt time I went to the casino. came out and was tired, didn't feel like driving home (maybe 45 mi). Called AAA, told them there was a problem, flatbedded home, gave the driver 10$ tip (which is ALWAYS appreciated by them). Slept good that night.

I have AAA and have used it once for my Model A and a few times for my Wildcat when I was sorting out the fuel system. I have also used it on barn finds within 100 miles of home. The car doesn't have to in your name or even titled as long as the member is present. Great peace of mind and better coverage than Hagerty. I always tip the drivers about $20 per loaded hour as they make very little on AAA calls. They're usually courteous and interested in the cars, sometimes asking for pics

I have AAA, and have for 24 years. I used it a few times for towing. But there are a lot of places that give a discount for AAA. NAPA gives 10% And I deal a lot with NAPA. So I get most of my money back using the discount. Also I live in North Central WV. When I put my coupe on the road I went with the 200 mile tow. So I can drive a 200 mile radius from my home and still get towed home. And that covers all of my state and parts of my surrounding states. That sort of makes it worry free driving.

I have both towing coverage from State Farm for the past 37 years and AAA for almost 20... Without question AAA is worth it... A large network of help... Example: last spring a driving smashed my wife's modern car... it was about 60 miles from our home... I displayed my AAA card and had the car was taken to where I wanted the repair to happen... Not having to deal with being on hold for insurance companies etc. (yeah I actually work for one LOL) but AAA is the best...

AAA has a battery only truck, recently they came to my abode & replaced my 7 year old truck battery. It was the same huge/highest Amp one like they put in 7 years ago. Total cost, $129.00, only $5.00 higher than the last one!
He even made a special trip to get the IDENTICAL one!!!

AAA

Highly rated repair garages
Discounts for attractions and restaurants
Banking, loans and credit cards
Insurance, auto, home, life.
Travel agency

It's still a personal decision.
