The saga continues
Got the engine and trans in the frame today ran into a problem with the U[joint cant get it on the spline shaft of the output shaft from the trans I know there is a bolt and washer that needs to go into the output shaft to hold the U-joint, but I cant get the U-joint on. There seems to be a small ridge running on the bottom of each of the spline shaft running the length of the shaft that keep the U-joint from going on, any thoughts?

Re: The saga continues
Are you sure you're trying to slide the proper end of the u-joint onto the output shaft? The ends are different sizes/splined differently.

Re: The saga continues
It is a new to be me but a used Ujoint. I put it on per the picture in Les Addrews book. Also I put it the same way as the ujoint that was on the old engine and trans that I took out.

Do you still have your old u joint? Try putting it back as a test of the spline of the trans.
