Default Follow up on backfire issue

I pulled the intake and exhaust manifolds off the car and found that all 4 exhaust ports were leaking. Upon examining the mating surface, the manifolds are warped, the intake had 2 self tapping screws to fill holes. A call to Piranios model A a parts in Denton, Tx had a new set on the way. I had them coat the exhaust manifold an machine them flat. Replaced the studs, washers, nuts and tighten them up. I then installed the sidebowl carb which I had cleaned while I had it off. I had previously noted that the threads where the sidebowl mounts were pitted. As luck would have it as I tightened it they stripped. So I grabbed the non sidebowl spare and installed it . Success the backfire is gone! Runs great! Now I need a new carb top for a sidebowl. Anyone have a spare
