Are there pieces I can buy and modify- if so what modifications would I need to do?
Any ideas on the differences between a regular 30/31 and late 31, solutions to the problem, or pictures of a late floor assembly would be helpful. Thanks for your help!
You might want to contact Tom, nickname "Flop" owner of Flop Custom Sheetmetal at:

Tom came to NJ from Pittsburgh and took my cab body back to his shop and rebuilt my 30 CCPU cab and replaced the lower cab back, subrails and all the cross members including the large rear one where it joins the back of the cab body, seat riser and cowl panels and repaired the door panels, all with steel , no fillers and personally delivered the cab back to me in NJ done in epoxy primer, ready to paint. Excellent sheet metal fabrication ! Tom fabricated many parts from scratch and has measurements on many Model A parts of different body styles to work with. Tom's shop # is 412-867-1659

The wood floors I have measured are approx 5/8" thick and the subrail "step" looks around 5/8" or maybe 3/4" . I would buy the tudor subrails as they use the same door as the CCPU . i have a 30/31 roadster part floor and the CCPU floor panel fits that even the rivet holes line up so I guess it would work with the tudor subrails .The subrails have the "step" pressed in and the repro wood front floor will fit these.

So, it looks like cut down tudor subrails with standard cab cross pieces and floor pan is the way to go. Still have to fabricate the larger rail connector for the cab back. Anybody agree with this?

It would be awesome to come up with actual mechanical drawings of the parts in question. I understand that nobody wants to invest in tooling to stamp these out because of the low returns on the investment. It just sucks that we can get every part for every model a, except this one.

Is there anybody in the Chicago area that has an unmolested late 31 pickup that
I could come and measure? I could make accurate drawings and supply them to anybody that wants them

You should be able to get the drawings here. https://www.thehenryford.org/collect...arts-drawings/

Hey Bob its funny you mention that. I was on that site yesterday and was amazed at the wealth drawings that could be found. I did find drawings for what Ford called outer sills. Used various keywords to minimize the search. I'm going back there now to continue searching. Wish me luck.

Front floor cross sill assy. A-35039, Rear floor cross sill A-82055-B
R.H. front floor side sill assy. A-35105-B
L.H. front floor side sill assy. A-35106-B
R.H. rear floor side sill assy. A-82030-B
L.H. rear floor side sill assy. A-82031-B

I think these are the right numbers. If you look them up on the MAFFI site you
can get the engineering information numbers. http://www.maffi.org/WSContent/Parts.html
