Default Tudor quarter window question

Greetings, installing new quarter windows with new channels in the body, etc.

On the side channels, the kit that I have has a tang at one end and a hook at the other. The original channels that came out had no such tang or hook.

Which end goes where? tang up or hook up and what does the hook go into? I see nothing on the body to match up.

Thanks

The upright metal channels are supposed to have SLOTS, to receive the hook & tang. If not, just secure the felt channels with Silicone Adhesive.

The hook that is attached to the back side of the felt window channels goes at the top. Hook it onto the top of the metal channel in the body. Pull the felt channel down snug and attach the tang at the bottom.
