Failed fuel shutoff valve
Some time back we were working on rust in the gas tank. We wanted to remove the shut off valve but were afraid on shearing it off. If we get back to that task and the very tight shutoff valve crumbles, how hard is it to dig out the remaining threads of the valve?

Re: Failed fuel shutoff valve
Hi; I use a rotary file in a varialble speed drill nd cut until I can see threads then pry out the the fitting with an aul or pic. Best results if routed out in two adjacent areas. Newc
