Default Removing Windshield On a '51 Wagon

I am getting my shoebox woody ready for paint. The old rubber around the windshields is hard. Not saving the rubber or glass. What procedure do you recommend? I have the inside garnish rails off and have run a plastic wedge tool around the circumference but the glass is cracked but not coming out. What is the easiest way to pop it out? Anybody know? Thanks.

Take a knife or other sharp bladed instrument and cut the rubber, going around the glass seeing how your not saving anything.

Rubber is too tough to cut. Used a linoleum razor knife and still too tough to cut. I did weaken it somewhat. Broke out the drivers side with a rubber mallet. Made a big mess but got it out. Will do other side tomorrow. Thanks.

A box cutting knife has always worked for me.

Ended up just busting the windows out, then removing the rubber. Big mess but works. Couldn't cut that old brittle rubber much.
