Default Tire changing tool

Interesting idea for changing a motorcycle tire. Was wondering if something like this would work on model A tires

No, because there is nothing to center the post.
Two tire bars work fine for me.

The tyres we use o our Model As are so soft that they can be removed and fitted while the wheel is still on the car if they are warm. Two levers is all anybody needs to take a tyre off at any time and a rubber mallet to put it back. (Maybe even the heel of your boot)

Actually, if you are fixing a flat on the car, even a tire iron is not needed. Someone posted a link to doing it that I can't find.

Also Model A Man, where did you get, or who made those skirts on your Avatar?

Doesn't anyone read their Model A owner/operator manual any more? Or their Dykes manual? Even for those who do not read, there are ample photos showing how the Ford Motor Company recommended a tire be changed. What the above two post report, is exactly how Ford showed the driver to change a tire.

Well, seeing them on yours makes me want to make a pair. Not today, but damn, it sure looks good. Placing those on my bucket list for the car.

Thanks J.C.

There has already been an extensive thread with a multitude of posts on the subject of Fender Skirts for the Model A rear fenders. For those with an interest, do a search on the FORD BARN FORUM.
