Default gasket N.O.S.

i found a 1954 box with 10 gasket of thermostat n.o.s. for y blocks, its fit perfect , better that repros and i have no more leaks...

The current thermostat gaskets seem very thin. I have been using two to make sure of a seal.

Wow, is that true on the gaskets. I ended up keeping some of the old gaskets when I rewired my '54 last winter. They looked like they were more up to the task than the replacements I bought. I regret putting the new gaskets on my front marker light lenses. They were awful! True of many other (though not all) new parts for vintage cars, as well. I'm sort of expecting my new turn signal switch to fail in the next 5 to 10 years.
